Mildred Cheng is a graphic designer, community organiser, and design researcher focused on creative development, space activation, and artistic initiatives that explore sound, culture, and society. She is currently pursuing an MA in Social Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. As co-founder of dtby (2018) and co-curator of UNHEARD (2022), she has led design festivals and exhibitions in Hong Kong and Vienna. She also founded the food collective SALIVA to explore the use of food as a storytelling tool to bring people together. Her research interests include the role of design in material culture, as well as the labor and care aspects embedded in consumerist and popular culture.
